1. Taiwan Taiwan is currently suspending visa applications for Hong Kong and Macau residents. Entry is also suspended for non-Taiwanese nationals who have visited mainland China, Hong Kong or Macau within 14 days.

2. Japan The Japanese Minister of Justice announced on social media that Japan will suspend the visa-free arrangement for Hong Kong and Macau, and BNO holders will also be subject to this restriction. The arrangement will take effect on March 9 and last until March 31 (it is not ruled out that it will be extended).

3. South Korea Since February 12, South Korea has strengthened quarantine measures for travelers entering from Hong Kong and Macau. Travelers are required to submit a health status questionnaire and prepare a valid phone number that can be used in South Korea, their actual residential address in South Korea, and daily health checks during their stay.

4. Singapore Singapore currently does not restrict entry to Hong Kong residents, but all persons who have visited mainland China within 14 days (including transit) will be denied entry and will not be able to transit in Singapore.

5. Nepal Nepal has suspended visa-on-arrival arrangements for Hong Kong, Macau and other places from March 10. Hong Kong and Macau residents who need to enter Nepal can apply for a visa in advance and must submit a health certificate issued within 7 days.

6. The Philippines has temporarily suspended visas for people from Hong Kong and Macau and banned entry of travelers departing from or transiting through Hong Kong and Macau.

Thailand The Tourism Bureau of the Thai Government stated on social media that all inbound travelers from China, Hong Kong, Macau, South Korea, Italy and Iran are required to fill out a health declaration and submit a health certificate. Travelers are required to self-isolate for 14 days after entering the country, but the details of the isolation have not been announced. The visa-free arrangement for Hong Kong SAR passport holders is not affected.
